A Chelada is a simple drink, really, and involves four amazing things: beer, lime juice, a lime wedge, and salt. So, you ask, "how do I concoct this delectable sounding beverage?" EASY as uno, dos, tres! (Haha, I made a cheesy funny! I should write scripts for infomercials.)
O.'s Chelada
1. Grab a pint glass, margarita glass, pretty glass, jug, or whatever friggin' cup you love and want to use. You call the shots on how big or small you want this Chelada to be.
2. Salt the rim of the glass, if you like. I think this is a crucial step. If you don't have a fancy-pants rim salter, wet a paper towel and press the rim of the glass onto it. Next, pour some salt on that paper towel and press the glass on the salt.
3. Put ice in your glass (if your lime juice is not cold)
3. Put ice in your glass (if your lime juice is not cold)
4. Pour your favorite beer in it, about halfway up. (I prefer a Mexican beer like Dos XX.)
5. Add lime juice (or limeade if you want a bit more sweetness). Pour more beer to top it off.
6. Stir it a bit.
7. Add a lime wedge to the top of your glass.
Ole! You got yourself a Chelada!
Now go out and find a sunny spot to enjoy it in and indulge responsibly!
(By the way, sorry I am blog design ADD. I'm playing around with the colors again and I just can't seem to get away from pink and white.... it's my signature, I guess! Bear with me as it beautifies!)

mmmmm that sounds delicious and easy to make. I'll have to try that!
I don't drink beer but I would definitely try this! (Michelada - clam juice? sounds a bit yucky...)
That sounds delicious!
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by today and following me and my little blog. I'm following you now and look forward to reading your thoughts. I'm sure that you love your little Dexter. I have 3 cats: one Siamese named Coco (Bean), my son's grey cat that he left with us when he graduated from college, Bailey, and another stray grey tabby that my daughter took in and never took with her when she graduated from college, named Tigger. I've got 3 dogs, 2 golden retrievers named Abby and Buckeye, and one stray beagle, named Little Buddy. And finally 3 horses, an American Saddlebred, named Carolina Luck, and 2 Peruvians named Spanish Lace and Caramel Sundae. I don't think I like animals enough, huh? Hubby says to stop taking in strays! LOL! Bye for now, Roz @ La Bella Vita
Love your new layout!
An old bar trick that learned it to line the glass with lime juice as opposed to salt, try that next time!
And I think we need to make these on the next Dexter night.
Yum! Thanks for passing on the recipe, I've never heard of the Chelada before!
