Celebrities Like Abyssinians, Too!

Just in case you didn't read it the first million times, I love Dexter. He is a purebred Red Abyssinian. We drove six hours to get him and he was pretty darn expensive, but he is worth every single penny. He is a member of the family and is always up to something ridiculously cute. Heck, even as I write this blog post, he's being a little sweetie. He's in my lap, wanting some attention. Purring up a storm. When he's in a sweet mood, he takes cute pictures.

If you are considering a new cat and want to gain a family member, you might consider an Abyssinian. Um, actually, you better consider an Aby. They come in four colors: Ruddy, Red, Fawn, and Blue. They are a highly intelligent breed, and very playful. In fact, they are known to be like kittens in their adult life. Greg's grandmother has a 13 year old Aby, and she is still very playful! However, they are very loving and sweet. When Dexter is in his "cuddle mode," he begs for you to hold him (although people say Abys don't like to be held) and love on him. He is so intuitive. Whenever I feel stressed or upset, he comforts me. When I'm working on household tasks, he tries to "help" me, although he is in the way most of the time! And, does your cat play fetch? 'Cause mine does.

I know I posted this before, but I know you are definitely not sick of it. And I know you probably watched in about 20 times. We won't mention how many times I've watched it.

Chloe Sevigny. Abys like to perch on your shoulders, so I think this is cute.

Nicholas Cage. Looks like he's sniffing his Aby's butt, but I guess when you love your Aby so much, you will do anything for it!

David Bowie. OMG. Seriously. If this doesn't win you over to an Aby, what will?!

Carly Simon. Looks like that Aby doesn't like to sit still.

Nicole Richie. I am curious as to why her blue Aby is in a cast. I am going to assume she is saving this gorgeous cat's life.

I literally squealed when I saw all these photos of celebrities and their Abys. You should too. They're the best. Definitely the coolest cats around. But I might be a little biased.
