Christmas Card Time!

Despite what you see from our serious faces, I LOVE CHRISTMAS CARDS!
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy!

This is our "Asian Christmas Picture" from 2009. We do one each year. We call them this because we notice that Asian tourists don't like to smile in their photos. I find this one particularly funny because of the engagement portrait behind us with super smiley faces.

Greg doesn't understand the point of Christmas cards. He always says, "Why do I have to send a card to them? They should know I wish them a Merry Christmas!"

Haha.

Men.

....But I think he secretly likes Christmas cards. We sent out a bunch last year and I loved how many we got in return!

That was only a small portion!

Greg and I are going to do a picture with Dexter for this year's Christmas cards (since last year we used a wedding photo). Laugh all you want, but Dexter is my baby. Not to mention, it's going to be a simple photo taken by my sister (unless we can be successful with my self timer). Dexter even has a green and red mitten scarf to wear in the photo. He actually struts around in it - he knows he looks cute. I wish I had a picture!!

This year we're going to use Shutterfly to do our cards. They've got great prices and a huge selection of cards! I don't even know where to begin, they're all so purdy! I want to keep it simple with an somewhat amateur photo and a simple, yet elegant card.

I've picked out a few of my favorite designs (click on the photo to go to the product):

Which one do y'all like out of those?
There are so many to choose from!! It must say "Merry Christmas". None of that "Happy Holidays" mumbo jumbo!

I was also looking around on Shutterfly and couldn't help but notice the other cool Christmas gift ideas like the canvas wall art or a photo calendar. Fun!! Come to think of it... there are a few people on my Christmas gift list that would really enjoy something like that!

So, are you planning on sending out Christmas cards this year? What kind of cards? Do you love them as much as I do?!

OMG! I just had an idea! I could do a bloggy Christmas/Holiday card linkup! Everyone can link up their blogs with an image of their Christmas/Holiday cards! What do you guys think of that?

Nonetheless, I'll post a final product of the card!
Happy Christmas Card Time!

Soo cute! I like the simplicity of the 3rd one but I'm sure any one you choose will look great! :) Looking forward to seeing to final product! xo.

You crack me up - Asian tourists aren't the only ones with this philosophy. My inlaws never smile in their pictures (okay, sometime they do)...I look at old photos around the house, and everyone is so stoic. Weird. I like the first shutterfly photo. They are really great...I used them last year! You can't go wrong.

I love the first design you picked! I just got my cards from Shutterfly and am in love with them. We have a photo of our pup Sawyer on them as well as some of us, so I completely get needing to have your pet on the cards!

LOVE the Asian theme - Stewart wants us to do a silly picture in ours... we're sorta running out of time, and he didn't "feel" like taking pictures this weekend. AND OF COURSE Dexter will be in the photos! He is your baby... why don't people understand that? Vada will be in our photos, and you better believe it will say, "Love Stewart, Amy and Vada"

p.s. they don't let you choose a square one, and my favourite was a square one :(

I like the two last ones!

I think the second to last is my favorite design, with the green and red criss cross

I like the 3rd choice. I always try to do either photo cards or cards with photos inserted. I also do lotso {that should be a word} photo gifts for my mother in law and family out of town. They love receiving the little photo books full of pictures of the kids chronicling our day to day life.
