Bobbi Brown, I'm Loving You

I recently made a few purchases at Bobbi Brown. I got a little postcard in the mail inviting me to a free sample of their new Lip Color. While I was there, I decided to take home a few other things. Let me just say, they are awesome at the BB Counter. The Sales Associate made a face chart for me, with what products I bought or were interested in and which colors work for me. She also took my phone number and told me they were expecting a deluxe gift with purchase set with and actually called me to invite me in to get it on March 30! She reserved one for me! I really think they've got such good customer service at Bobbi Brown. I love MAC, but let's be honest... some (definitely not all) of the sales associates tend to be a bit snobby and think that it's a privilege for you to be shopping there.

So happy Bobbi Brown has a counter at my local Macy's! No having to drive across town to get to Neiman's!

I would also like to add that I really like the Bobbi Brown philosophy. All of her models look so natural, are of all ages and not super model-y. She's all about enhancing natural beauty and accomplishing a realistic look for you. Let's face it, we all may not have incredible cheek bones or jaw line. We've gotta work with what we're given!

She's also got a few books that are highly-rated. I don't own any, but I'd love to get one (or more).

Anyway, let's get on to my recent purchases. I briefly touched on them in a recent Vlog, but I've got to go into more detail!

Hydrating Eye Cream
Purchase Here
I definitely don't drink enough water (don't we all?), and it tends to show underneath my eyes. I have little dehydration lines (not noticeable to many but myself, really) and sometimes my concealer/eye makeup looks a bit cakey. Simply put, this eye cream is amazing at hydrating my eyes. My concealer and eye makeup go on smooth and stay all day! It also moisturizes well at night. I can't say if it is good at erasing dark circles or getting rid of wrinkles, but I can say it is a darn good eye cream. I personally think my eye circles look less dark when I am well hydrated, and this definitely helps. I've even applied this cream under my eyes later in the day (over my makeup) and it really does freshen me up! I highly recommend this. At $42 it is a bit expensive, but it is a nice amount and a tiny bit really goes a long way.

Lip Balm SPF 15
Purchase Here
When I was at the BB Counter, the Sales Associate insisted I try some of this stuff on. Instantly, my chapped lips became moisturized. I'm not even kidding. I wish I was. Yeah, it's the most expensive lip balm I've ever bought at $15, but gee golly, it's amazing stuff. And it's a huge amount of lip balm.

This is definitely a brand I will keep purchasing, as it always delivers superior quality!

What about you? Have you tried a new brand recently you're in love with?

I have been on the hunt for wedding makeup and I think you have convinced me to try Bobbi Brown. I have been trying to "grow up" when it comes to my makeup look and I just can't quite get it down. I am really loving the natural look but I can't quite seem to pull it off. Maybe I need to go to Macys for a consult?
Have a good Wednesday!!!

I am not too familiar with Bobbi Brown, but I do own one eyeshadow from her that is absolutely amazing. I think it's just called "Black Sparkle", but it is absolutely gorgeous. I think it was limited edition this past year, so I'm scared to use too much of it, haha.

I would like to try the Bobbi Brown gel eye liner, though. Heard many good things about that.

Hi!!

I recently started wearing BB too...I've been to 2 events at a shop in The Woodlands and dropped over $100 both times. I love the gel eyeliner, and the tinted moisturizer is nice - it doesn't have that stinky sunscreen smell.

Did I ever tell you that I went to BB to get that under eye concealer? I need one of the two lightest shades, and they didn't have either of them :( My consultant mentioned something about how they are reworking the formula for us pale folks.. which I'm sure is great in the long run, but I really wanted that concealer after you talked it up so much!!

Surprisingly with my makeup addiction, I have never tried BB. I have a few of her products on my wishlist though...

Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick is TDF!! except they discontinued the set of shades that best matched my tone and I've been in a mild depression ever since. I've been consoling myself with NARS products which have lived up to all the hype.

I haven't tried much else from BB but I might have to give it a shot! :)

Enjoy your new finds!

You are officially my go-to makeup source. I didn't even know dehydration lines existed!

Now you've got me convinced I need eye cream and a whole line of products.

Also, so glad you got good customer service. It really goes a long way!

I love that eye creme. You are so right, a little goes a super long way. I have to get that other under eye stuff that you have. I didn't know how bad the yellow (wtf?) was under my eyes until I saw those pictures you posted!

I am going to look into that lip balm to. PD keeps eating my Brown Sugar stuff and that is way to expensive for him to snack on.

Miss you lady!

Agreed-- the BB ladies are fantastic. The MAC associates at my Belk aren't usually helpful at all. My sister-in-law works for Benefit, and I've started to really love their products.
