You might have seen this on twitter, but humor me okay?
I'm 25 weeks done with this pregnancy. That means I've been pregnant 6.25 months, and I have 2.75 months left. Holy moly. We're getting close.
Honestly, this pregnancy has been really easy. Lots of people like to give me advice, thoughts, and all these things I should be feeling/doing/etc. and not even half of it feels like it's applied to me. Not that their advice isn't welcomed, I am just getting the feeling that every single pregnancy is so incredibly different. I never got morning sickness (aside from motion sickness on airplanes). I just felt like I've been getting bigger (and something is definitely moving around in there) but I really do feel like myself.
There are definitely a few things worth mentioning...
- I always thought that when you get pregnant, your tummy will grow but the rest of you will stay the same. Totally not true. As if my hips/butt could get any wider...... they are. I am officially in maternity pants. Hey, at least the maternity pants are a size small.
- Whoever said that pregnancy makes your skin glow was lying to me. I have had nothing but a struggle to keep my overly teenage-looking skin clear. On a happier note, my nails grow incredibly fast and are super strong (let's blame that on the prenatal vitamins).
- I have had less of a filter. Meaning, I just simply say what I think. My coworker and students think it's amusing. I've also had less tolerance and patience for BS, which has made my students know I am not one to be messed with. Of course, I'm still happy and even-tempered, I am just not one to walk over right now.
- "Pregnancy Brain" truly exists. Baby Girl O. really sucks my smarts and makes me very forgetful. I don't mind, because it's for her growing brain, and people have more sympathy for pregnant women.
- A lot of people want to help me... lift things, don't let me bend over, etc. I think it's amusing. I don't feel disabled. Oh well, if I can play the pregnancy card, I will.\
- This still doesn't feel 100% real. I'm ready and I'm excited, but it's still just me, Greg, and Dexter in this big ol' house. Obviously that is going to change in 2.75 months.
- I feel very happy because a few of my friends have since gotten pregnant... it's so awesome to know that we're all going through this at the same time!
- I absolutely LOVE prenatal yoga. Every preggo woman should do it.
Well, there you have it. Preggo Meg O. at 25 weeks pregnant.
Have any of you mommas had a similar pregnancy experience?

so crazy that you're so close!! you do look great!! but i think you're right about eacho ne being different for each person. I've heard some horror stories and i've heard other people say they love being pregnant. whenever i get knocked up, i better have the latter experience. otherwise, that kid will have hell to pay!
CupcakesOMG!
you look so cute...! I'm really happy to read you've had a relatively easy pregnancy - that's great! hopefully that continues for the next couple of months! eeeek - can't believe you're so close!
Happy Wednesday Love! xx
just gotta say, you're the cutest LITTLE preggo thing everrr.
You are still so tiny!!!!
I want to look like you when I'm pregnant. Seriously, could you look any better?
Every pregnancy is certainly different!! I had severe morning sickness from the day I took a pregnancy test until the day I welcomed our sweet baby boy. It was a LONG 9 months to say the least. And? It didn't become real to me until later on in the pregnancy too. One day it'll just kind of hit you :) It's a wonderful feeling!
seeing that I've never been pregnant I really don't have any advice that's worth your while lol. I do, however, love that fact that you are so precise with your "2.75 months" lol
P to the S-your lil belly is just-a-growin' and you look SO stinkin' cute!!
You are the def one of the cutest pregnant girls ever! Happy to hear your pregnancy has been an easy one!
Preggo Meg O. is so cute!!
That is all.
It just seems like yesterday you announced that you were preggers! I can't wait to meet Baby O!
And you look amazing!
You look gorgeous!! When I was pregnant, I was VERY sick for the first 17 weeks and then the last 10 weeks... so I am glad you have avoided that! It can be a bit paralyzing trying to drive to work with a barf bag, lol. Let everyone do stuff for you- pull that preggo card. It's worth it! Congrats and enjoy the rest of it bc it will fly by!

You are such a cute preggo lady!! Good luck with the remainder of the time waiting on your little girl!
You look amazing Meg!
Goodness when you say it like that it seems like you're so close to finished... and I'm not that far behind you! Yikes!! hahaha!!
You look amazing!! Glad you're having a good experience with pregnancy. I'm having an easy time too (knock on wood) and sometimes I feel bad because so many of my friends have had such a tough time with it. Hope everything stays great and easy for you!
You look beautiful! I can't believe it's already been more than six months! Hang in there!
You look sooo good, preggo buddy! :) I'm so glad you're feeling well still! We're pretty freaking lucky to be feeling so normal! And I'm right there with you - my filter is gone too (was it ever there? :p) and baby brain is in full effect!
you look fabulous! ... so.. that whole "filter" thing? absolutely gets 100 times worse after you have baby girl. i mean, in a good way, right? throw in a case of Momma Bear Claws and believe me, the minute amount of patience for BS that you have now? Totally gone. Haha :) I was shocked at how I speak my mind with little to no reserve nowadays!!
You are too cute, so glad you are feeling great about everything. I would imagine that I would feel the same way too. Not totally sure if it was really all happening! And pregnancy brain, sheesh, like I evenutally need another reason to forget stuff. I will be a mess, haha.
I cant believe you have less than 3 months, time has flown - you are seriously the cutest little preggo person ever! I have never been pregnant but I totally agree with the pregnancy brain thing - when my bff was pregnant she told me the same story 3 times in a matter of a few hours
you are so stinking cute! i hope i look like you when i am preggers. and wow. i could not imagine myself being less tolerant to BS. oye. can't wait to meet baby O. !!! :o)
It wasn't truly real for me until I HAD the baby. Even then, I still had weird moments where I thought, "wait, is this my life" - because it seemed surreal. NOW I can't imagine life before a baby, nor do I really want to (except when I need a nap badly and can't haha).
Holy crap! Less than 3 months to go!! That went WAY fast!!
I felt similar when I was pregnant!
My skin got REALLY dry. (And I've always had pretty good skin).
**And speaking of people not letting you DO things: My F-I-L wouldn't let me pick up a hammer. A HAMMER!! Too heavy, I assume! HA!
You look great - and good luck with these last 3! (I found the last one to be the toughest - -I loved being pregnant, I just wanted to be done already!)
Yay for getting closer!
Too funny about low tolerance. I think I was the same way. My students already knew I was preggers. Apparently I was pretty bitchy and I guess the eating ALL of the time hinted as well!
I can't wait to official see the bumpO!
You are lucky you've been having a great pregnancy!! Hopefully you continue to feel like that through the whole thing!
You look great! I've always heard that time flies after 25 weeks...
You look fabulous:) glad pregnancy is going well!
You're so pretty <3 It's actually super great to know that someone feels "the same" and great and all that fun stuff during pregnancy.. I feel like I've heard too many horror stories that I'm getting nervous for the day I get preggo! Glad that you're doing so well.. crazy that you're so close already!!
You look gorgeous!!!! Absolutely gorgeous!
I have 2 children 12 years apart in age & your right, every pregnancy is different. Every child is different too! Glad your pregnancy has been easy & you have been able to enjoy it. You look absolutely gorgeous!
You look amazing!!
You look precious! I am 36 weeks pregnant with my second and have had fairly symptomless pregnancies but I have never felt "radient" while pregnant...just large!
Miscalculated.
You will have another 15weeks/40weeks*9 months=3,375 months.
And you are over with 25w/40w*9=5,625 months with this pregnancy...
Never mind, forgetful pregnant brain, isn't it??
You are sooo cute!
Wow-- can't believe it's already been that long!! You look great!!
You look so beautiful, mama! I am so excited for you!
You look so pretty! I'm so happy and excited for you! It feels like yesterday you announced you were preggo and that Baby O was a girl! Can't wait for her to come :)
You look amazing,Megan!!!!!! My skin cleared up during pregnancy and I did have a glow in the middle. My hair was amazing too!! I did not feel like myself with the 3 of mine lol Strange how they are all different!
I can't wait to see your baby girl! I bet she'll be gorgeous.
You are just the most cute preggo ever! Can't wait to meet Baby Girl :)
