I decided I am going to copy other beauty bloggers and share my favorite products on a monthly basis. I plan on featuring 5 or so products in these posts, so it doesn't become long-winded.
Let's talk about my favorites this month!
March Beauty Favorites
ELF Cream Eyeliner
I gotta admit, I am not ELF obsessed like many of you are. I find it to be very hit or miss. I know the price tag is great, but I think some people get too caught up in the good price. I guess you get what you pay for. I've tried quite a few ELF products and I overall just think "Meh." I have even returned a few things. BUT! This cream eyeliner is great. I decided to try it after
Tara was raving about it on her blog, and I am so glad I did! I am a huge fan of gel eyeliners, in fact, it's almost all I use. I find this eyeliner is almost comparable to the likes of
MAC Fluidline and
Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner - my two faves! The brush it comes with is useless and pretty terrible, but the product goes on amazingly with my eyeliner brush!
Benefit Watt's Up
I actually bought this when I had a Sephora coupon, and I totally forgot to review this. I adore this highlighter. It is just as lovely as my beloved
High Beam, although I find it a bit easier to use. The coloring is more "candle lit" or warm, while the High Beam is pink.
L'Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes (Waterproof)
I picked this up on a whim. I did a lot of hanging out at Target during maternity leave and I believe this was on sale. It usually takes me a little while to really love a mascara (I like to use it a little while and let it dry out a bit), but this one I liked almost immediately.
Make Up For Ever Duo Mat Powder Foundation
Another one of my purchases with a Sephora coupon. I hadn't used powder foundation in a really long time (I used to be a devoted Studio Fix user) but I wanted to try it again. It has really been my go-to foundation while on maternity leave, as it takes little effort to apply and looks pretty darn flawless! I think I will continue to repurchase as I run out.
Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer
This stuff is legit, y'all. Yes, you have to go to Walmart to get it (the only place they sell Hard Candy cosmetics), but if you can endure the....
lovely experience of Walmart, this is worth picking up. It was designed as a tattoo concealer, but dang does it cover up just about anything and everything! I haven't used this stuff under my eyes but it is great at covering up acne marks and discoloration. My only complaint is the color selection. The light one is too light for me and the next darker shade is a little too dark. I went with the lighter one as I feel I can use bronzer to warm up my face. You get a ton of product that is going to last forever, and it's only $6!
What have you been reaching for and loving this month?

Great post! :)
I've been loving the Benefit "They're Real" mascara.
I've been using that concealer for over a year and love it as well. I even picked my mom up a tube when she was complaining of not being able to find a good concealer and she loves it too.
I need to try that Benefit Watt's up since I'm not a fan of the High Beam.
I'm going to have to give that concealer a whirl. My eyes need some serious "refreshing".
Love this elf liner!
And mascara..it's bomb diggity..
So glad you approve of the eye liner! ;) love it! The only other elf product I really like is the lip gloss!
I love Elf makeup it's awesome(and so affordable) :-)
Never heard of elf! Interesting! I wish sephora was much cheaper!
I loveeeee the ELF liner too! It was my great find this month too!!!
I still haven't gotten the hang of gel eyeliner.. :( And, I feel like it is too much when I apply it on my upper lid, I guess because I'm so used to putting it on my bottom lid. I may have to copy you and post some of my faves too ;)
It makes me feel so old that Hard Candy is now sold at Walmart!
I remember in junior high buying it at Macy's and Dillard's - the nail polishes with the rings attached. It was all because of that movie 'Jaw Breaker'! Ha!
clearly now I need to go buy it all!
I wish I could commission you to do my makeup shopping.
Correction... I wish I had the money to commission you to do my makeup shopping. :)
Thanks for the new product ideas!
I've been dying to try gel eyeliner but have not gotten around to it yet ... and I love the Makeup Forever Duo .... I actually use it over my Makeup Forever HD ... I love how it works together!!! :)
Dude, the Hard Candy stuff just reminded me of their bail polish. Back in the day that was like THE stuff to have.
Ooohhh I'll be picking up some of that concealer from wal-mart for sure!! Will need to go either super early or super late though to avoid the crazies.
xoxo
LOVE elf's cream liner. I'm gonna have to try the Watt's Up, I've never seen that!
oooh! great product rec's! I'm a new follower! LOVE all the blog designs you have created!!
Love that mascara! Another one of my faves by loreal is the "telescopic" one. It has a diff brush than most- that rubbery type. I am going to have to try that benefit stuff out- I've always liked all of their products. I'm glad you joined in on the beauty product review train- I love reading what others think. Love your blog by the way :) new follower!
The mascara is amazing. I have this too and i have applied false lashes before, the glue feels funny, it's hard to get them on perfectly. This mascara makes my lashes just as long and thick as if i have falsies on. Thanks! Can't wait to try the other things you recommend!
cool. I'm getting the elf cream liner once I run out of my current gel liner ^_^. also did my march 2012 favorites, hope you check it out here:

Oh, love these reviews! Is the Makeup Forever powder good at keeping your skin from getting shiny/oily?! I read somewhere that it was, but I haven't wanted to splurge on the pricetag.
i'm super curious about the highlighter. i've been looking for an illuminator for a while now but i just odn't know what the hell to get. i don't want something too shimmery or pink or white...just something that makes me look fresh and bright. does the watts up do that???
CupcakesOMG!
I swear by that mascara!! I love it so much that I have told all my friends to buy it!! Glad someone else knows how awesome it is!
I just finally got the cream eyeliner in March too (or I should say, I finally remembered to get it while at Target, lol).
I thought it was okay - better than most I've tried before (I suck at eyeliner!) but not something I think I'd bother with on a daily basis.
I'm with you-- I could take or leave ELF. But, if it can compete with my Fluidline, I may have to try it! Esp at its pricepoint.
I've been using the Watt's up for a while now, and I've got to admit that I"m still on the fence about it. I like it, don't love it. Doubt if I'd buy again. I want to try a powder highlighter since I've switched back to powder/mineral foundation for the summer.
I love all your makeup stuff, seriously. I'm still just learning the basics. I have no clue what the heck highlighter is...except in the sense of stuff for school haha
