June Beauty Favorites
I love that summer is an excuse to wear bright nail polish, lighter foundation, and flip flops. But wait, I wear flip flops about 90% of the year, anyway, so who am I kidding? I've picked up quite a few new things recently and I can't wait to tell you about some of my favorite things I'm using lately! All of the products I'm featuring really go along with the theme of "lighter and brighter"!
1. Sephora Collection Bronzer - Los Cabos
I went into Sephora looking for a bronzer to replace my beloved Laguna. As much as I am a die hard Laguna fan, I am not a fan at how easily it breaks and how it costs a pretty penny. I didn't want to shell out $30, and I wanted a bronzer with less shimmer and more matte. You see, I am not a fan of bronzers with a lot of shimmer in them. Call me strange, but I stand by this! I feel like they make your face look fat and sweaty because bronzers are typically applied in areas where you want to minimize or draw in. I like a matte bronzer because while it adds warmth to your face, it also brings those areas in without making you look like a sweaty fat vampire. If you would like to see how I apply bronzer, check out my highlighting and contouring post here. Anyway, back to the bronzer. I love love love this one. It's $15, the packaging is sturdy, there's a lot of product in the pan and the color is incredible! It is buildable, which I love, and adds the right amount of warmth I want. Seriously everything I want in a bronzer. I may not go back to Laguna. The only problem is Sephora likes to discontinue their own brand a lot so I really hope they don't discontinue this!
2. Studio Tools Crease Makeup Brush
Mandy posted about her favorite crease brush of all time, which just so happens to be $1.99 and at Target. Say whaaaaaat?! Of course I had to get it. I really love this brush and how it's so perfect for my eyelid crease. The MAC 217 brush is my favorite crease brush ever and this one is really almost just as good! Definitely worth purchasing! I might go back and buy another one to use for blending concealer under the eye or something.
3. MAC Studio Moisture Tint - Medium
I kind of purchased this on a whim, and I'm actually glad I did! I wanted something I could just slap on during the summer and eliminate the step of using a moisturizer with SPF. There's no need for me to put a full face on when I'm just running errands with the baby. This does the job, and well, I might add. The only qualm I have with this is the chemical sunscreen it contains. I kind of wish I would have read the ingredients before I purchased but since I do not wear this every single day, it probably doesn't make that much of a difference in the long run. Anyway, this stuff is awesome. It's cheaper than a lot of the higher end tinted moisturizers, and you definitely get a good amount. The coverage is light but it really evens out my skin tone. I do need to conceal spots if I am having a breakout, however. But that is to be expected of tinted moisturizer. This isn't full coverage foundation. The best part of this stuff is how it really keeps oil at bay. It stays very matte on my face the whole day, which is nothing short of a miracle for me. I bought it in the medium shade because these do run very light.
4. MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural - Medium
I ran out of this stuff a long time ago and I never got around to picking it back up. Why I waited this long I have no earthly idea! It's a wonderful setting powder on top of my tinted moisturizer and foundation. Or this is great by itself as a really light coverage mineral powder in place of foundation or tinted moisturizer. Love love love this stuff!!
5. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment - Rose
I got this in a mini duo pack with the original lip treatment as my Sephora VIB birthday gift. I have been a fan of the original for a while, but gosh darn it, this Rose one is so pretty! It looks rather shocking in the tube, but it goes on as such a nice beautiful pink! The scent is a heavenly lemon scent and it is so moisturizing! It's pretty expensive, but I just might go back and repurchase when I run out! By the way, best Sephora birthday gift yet!
I have a few other things that are going to get their own reviews because they are just that special. I also am going to film a makeup brush vlog highlighting my brush collection and how I use them. Be looking forward to that!

Ooh I got the sugar set for my bday too and fell in love with the tinted one. :)
I've been using physician's formula bronzer for the longest and I think they changed something in it because it just doesn't seem to be bronzing like it used to. I may have to try this one out that you suggested!!!
I'm sad that I won't get my VIB birthday gift until December!! My fave bronzer is Benefit's Hoola. It's matte, but not too dark for my fair skin. Although for $15, the Sephora one sounds like a fantastic steal!
I'm thinking I need to try the MAC Tint and the lip treatment! My lips are so dry/chapped right now!
I use the Fresh Sugar Lip treatment too and love it!
I have that crease brush and I love it!! I'm interested in the lip treatment. I'll have to give it a try!
I love Sugar's Rose Lip Treatment! I have been using it for almost two years! I went into to Sephora for a really moisturizing chapstick, they showed me this one and I never looked back! I wish it wasn't so expensive though, I need to find a good dupe for it!
Great Favourites post! I love NARS Laguna too much to swop, even with the hefty price tag! That made my favourites this month & I've also been loving Lush Angels on Bare Skin cleanser! x
And now I want to buy a bunch of makeup I can't afford. XD I really want to try that Sugar Rose lip treatment. I've heard so much about it and it has been EVERYWHERE lately. I'll fold eventually.
i got that lip stuff too! it's pretty awesome!
I really need to start wearing make up! My routine consists of eye liner and mascara. Sometimes I throw on some Chapstick but that's it!
I will definitely be looking to you for guidance as I start to expand my makeup arsenal. ;)

MAC MSF Natural is probably one of my all time favorite powder foundations. And, I agree, this years VIB Birthday Gift is the best so far. The Philosophy bath gel last year was poopie!
i've been using the sephora bronzer bore bore for a long time, but i really just picked up nyx new matte bronzer and i think i might like it better. i agree though, matte bronzers are best!
I am pretty sure you just sold me on e wry single one of those products!! Haha I LOVE trying new makeup and reading tips and other peoples reviews! MAC is by far my fav makeup brand I think I may have to pickup some of these products!!
I love your recommendations. I'm soo hoping that by October they're still going to have that fresh Sephora birthday gift. Do you have to have spent a certain amount of money there or you just go in during your birthday month? Also, I think I use that number 4. I use the mineral foundation. Is that similar? I can't wait for your brush tutorial! You're so good at makeup!! I watched a bunch of your vlogs to learn different brushes and makeup, and then I went to Nordstrom and spent $100 on concealer, concealer brush, foundation, etc that you had recommended a few months ago. Ha! The miracles of concealer. I had never used it before!
love the mac products too..
