A Consolation Cat Fetching Video

Hi, friends. Wow, has life really taken up every single second of my free time. Between directing my show and reaching opening night, being a mom, having inlaws come into town, a sick baby (her first time being sick ever and I had to be at the show), and other general life stressors, blogging has really taken a backseat.

With that being said, look at my play! Isn't it pretty?

I am going to slow things down here on blog land until I feel like my life has evened out. Let me also be honest, I'm just not feeling it. Everyone goes through their blogging ups and downs, and right now is a big down. I don't really feel the need to apologize for it, since being a wife, mother, and teacher is my number one priority. I do miss the community and I miss connecting on a daily basis, but having literally zero free time makes me really reevaluate my priorities. Any second of free time needs to be spent with my husband and darling girl. I feel like time literally flew by and my baby was ten months. This makes me so sad because I always feel things like, "I wish I would have taken more pictures" or "I wish I would have spent more time rocking her without my phone in hand."

Alas. I will be back when I'm starting to feel it again. Don't we all need a little hiatus from things once in a while? Breaks make life better.

And if it's any consolation, I have an updated video of Dexter playing fetch. It's a gem.

I'm going to show this video to my cats in the hope that they'll suddenly know how to fetch.

Hope life slows down soon so you can enjoy every spare second with the fam.

Don't worry about blogging until you have more time - we understand! :)

I love that video! Boone "plays fetch" too. The day we brought him home as a 5-month-old, we knew he was a hunter, and we almost named him Hunter. Sometimes, we still think we should have, because the name is so fitting!

Enjoy your blog vacation! It really is necessary. Now that I've started school, I'm finding I may do the same, eventually. There are just so many things to fit into a day, and sometimes, blogging is at the bottom of the to-do list!
