I have had some requests for some tutorials on how I use the Naked Palette to create a wearable smoky eye. I decided that a video tutorial was in order! I find that it's easier to explain rather than photos. Y'all better watch it because it took me forever to do. I mean, the filming part is easy and what not, but my iMovie hates importing HD files, so it took 30 minutes to import each clip. And about three hours to export it. So yeah.... watch the video already. And excuse my non made up face. I also kind of hate the way my hair looks here. I curled it up real tight to comb out later. Blah. Whatever. Just watch it.
Question: How do you wear your Naked Palette? Leave me comments letting me know how you use yours!
NAKED is the best thing ever!! I have been using it for 3 years now and would be lost without it!! Love this tutorial because I only ever use certain colors in the palette and now I will use more!! Also I need a tutorial on how you curl your hair because its beautiful!!!!!
My obssession with the naked pallet stems mostly from the fact that I CAN DO ANYTHING with it. I love how there are endless possibilities--- day time, night time, I-only-have-2-mins time!
This is awesome! I always used Half Baked, Smog and Darkhorse together too. I like how you did it "backwards" and blending them and I LOVE the eyeliner trick. I am going to do this next time I use these colors. I can't wait to see your other videos. I would love some ideas with the other colors since I pretty much just use these three (with occasional creep (or is it midnight oil?) to darken).
Thank you so much for taking the time to make the video. I am a make-up newb so pictures don't help me much I really need to be talked through the process. I watched again with some paper and pen nearby :) Did you use five or six different brushes? I heard the one from Target and noted a few others, but could you list them for me?
LOVE THIS! I saw you tweet about it a few days ago and have been anxious to watch. This is really helpful! I always do the same thing with my Naked 2 palette: I put a light shimmery brown all over, and then I use a darker color on my lid. I've been wanting to learn how to use different techniques, though, so thanks! I can't wait to see the evening one!!
My everyday eye is VERY similar. But I use sin most days as my lid color and virgin as my highlighter. I love the smog/darkhorse in the crease and corners! There are just SO many options with the Naked Palette!

I took Meg advice and applied the crease shadow first. It really helped me blend everything together better. Thanks, pal.

Great tutorial -- thank you for sharing. I hear all the rave about the Naked pallette, but my biggest problem is application -- I'm clueless!
