If You Really, Really Knew Me

One thing I wanted to accomplish on my blog this year is get a little more personal. Dig a little deeper. So, I guess today would be fun to do one of those "if you knew me" posts. Because they're fun. And there's nothing like spouting off a bunch of random information about myself. So....

IF YOU REALLY, REALLY KNEW ME...
  • I have really weird double jointed elbows. If I hold my arm out straight, it looks hyper-extended and curvy. It's actually quite disgusting. So don't ask me to do it.
  • I have this fear of unfinished wood. Think popsicle sticks, wooden spoons, chopsticks, tongue depressors at the doctor's office. Just thinking about it makes me cringe. To me, it feels like I'm going to get splinters everywhere and die. If you don't believe me, watch this vlog that Katie and I did a while back but never put on our blogs. And look at how teeny Kennedy is (and how fat I was)!

Okay, that's all I got. That's all you really need to know about me.
Call me an crooked elbow unfinished wood fearing freak.

lol--I'm totally with you!!
Another thing that I can't stand is paper straws. There's a restaurant near me that is "green" and they have like cardboard straws. Putting paper-product in my mouth literally gives me goosebumps.

It took forever for your video to load on my computer, but I'm glad I stuck it out because...awww...I love my shout-out! But I seriously love when you do these "If You Really Knew Me" blogs because I knew BOTH of those things. Boo-yeah!

Hilarious vlog :) Sometimes I feel like we need other people to tell us random thing about ourselves- because I think they are totally normal when it's about me!

For realsies, I understand the texture phobia. Sometimes during the day, something will hit me the wrong way, like construction paper, popsicle sticks, pencil shavings etc. It's okay. Also, my arms and legs both hyperextend. Yay for the hyperextendy gals!

Ha! That wood thing is so funny. I have never really thought about it, but now when I am using my Popsicle sticks in class tomorrow I will.

Hey - I knew that! I think of you whenever I see the Sprinkles utensils.

So I'm guessing you're not a big fan of weathered picnic tables and benches at parks! Haha!

Wish I could watch the vid but I will have to settle with knowing two awesome facts about you. You make me giggle Meg in a good way. :)

HAHA! This made me laugh! And I have this super weird fear/hate for cotton balls. I can not stand them...can't think about them, can't look at them and definitely can not touch them!

LOL to that video!! "Get back in Time Out!" is the best line ever. And I gotta admit--I kinda want to see your extended arm now! :)

I feel the same way about chalk and velvet as you do about wood!

Hahaha, I love that you are terrified of Popsicle sticks. I don't know why, but that is the cutest thing to me! I totally hate splinters, though. So I get the fear a little bit!!

I would be amused by the whole unfinished wood thing but I can't really judge since I have a strong aversion to rough fabrics. Running my hands across it or hearing someone else do it makes my teeth hurt. Freaks. me. out.
