I have eight days of school left, so I am already in summer mode. I’m so excited for summer to finally be here! Although the heat can get brutal down here in Houston, I love the bright colors and summer trends.
I’ve put together some of my favorite drugstore summer beauty essentials from CVS Pharmacy. These are products that will be on repeat all summer long, and are a great mixture of makeup, skincare, suncare, and body care.
Also, did you guys know that CVS Pharmacy has curbside option? With CVS Curbside, you can order all of your summer beauty essentials online (or on the CVS app), and pick it up without ever having to set foot out of your car! Genius, and so convenient!
Watch my video below to learn more about my drugstore summer beauty essentials and CVS Curbside.
My Drugstore Summer Beauty Essentials from CVS:
Long wearing foundation. I picked up the Wet ‘n Wild Photofocus Foundation and, although it doesn’t claim to be a long wearing foundation, it really has stayed put on my skin. It also doesn’t feel heavy or cakes up. Perfect summer foundation!
Setting spray. The Physician’s Formula #InstaReady Setting Spray is great to use before makeup (helps that makeup stick to the skin), to take down the powder-y look of your makeup, to set makeup in place, and to refresh makeup if it starts to look cakey. I love the mister on this, and it’s definitely a new favorite setting spray!
Bold lip colors. During the spring, I reach for more pastels, but as soon as it gets hot outside, I want a bold lip on my face immediately. I have been loving these L’Oreal Infallible Paints. They have a glossy look to them (which is so on trend!) and really fun shades.
Waterproof eye makeup. Let’s face it – the racoon look isn’t good on anyone. I have to make sure I’m using more waterproof formulas for my eyeliner and mascara during the summer, because it tends to be the first to run. I love the CoverGirl Super Sizer mascara for volume, definition and length, and the Maybelline Eye Studio Master Precise Skinny Gel Eye Pencil is incredibly easy to use (I love how tiny it is!) and stays put.
Mineral liquid sunscreen. I love a mineral liquid sunscreen to layer underneath my makeup, and also to use on the body if I know I will be outside more than usual. The La Roche-Posay Anthelios Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid works perfectly under makeup (does not make my makeup greasy!) and for days I will be outside. I would use something heavier and more water resistant for beach and pool days!
Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera is so good for the skin, especially after sun exposure. CVS Aftersun Aloe Vera is a great option to pick up because it doesn’t have a ton of filler ingredients and gets the job done. Not only do I recommend using aloe vera after sun exposure, but any time your skin may feel irritated or dry.
Bronzed legs. I have been using the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs for years! It is definitely fake tan in a can. So easy if you’re wearing a short dress and you’re feeling a little pasty. The product sprays on and literally stays put until you scrub it off in the shower with soap and water. It is most definitely water resistant.
Eye masks. My under eye area tends to dry out more than the rest of my face, especially after a day in the heat or wind. Spot treating that area can assure that you’re targeting your problems. I love hydrating eye masks, and the Beauty 360 Collagen Hydrating Anti-Aging Eye Masks are an absolute steal and really work! I’m a huge fan.
