How I Maintain My Lip Fillers
It’s been over nine months since I had my first experience with lip fillers. I began to see my results starting to fade, so it was time to visit my friends at Suzanne Bruce & Associates for a bit of a lip fillers touch-up. One question I’ve gotten frequently is, “How long do lip fillers last?” I will say that it really depends person to person on how fast your body breaks down the filler. For me, I’ve noticed just over 9 months I need a bit of a top up.
I met with Dr. Katz – my favorite doctor ever. If you haven’t figured it out by now, I absolutely love her. She’s so full of wisdom and expertise with everything pertaining to skincare. She always strives to keep a very natural result when administering injectables, and makes sure to educate me every time I’m in her office.
Dr. Katz touched up my filler in my lips, smile lines around the mouth (nasolabial folds), and around my chin.

This woman always knows what she’s doing and always makes sure to give as pleasant of an experience as possible, despite needles in my face!

The second time around was definitely an easier experience, and I recovered a lot faster, actually. I had far less bruising and swelling.
I also immediately started incorporating a product from SkinCeuticals called the HA Intensifier.

It’s expensive to upkeep lip fillers. I know I don’t have the money to get this done all the time. I’m all about exploring products that will make lip fillers last longer. This serum is formulated to amplify the skin’s hyaluronic acid levels (which is what is injected into the skin when you get filler). If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know that hyaluronic acid is my favorite skincare ingredient.
I was excited to try the SkinCeuticals HA Intensifier because I do love hyaluronic acid so much, and I really would love to find a product that will help me extend the results of my filler.

The tiniest bit goes a long way – I put it around my mouth and on my lips before my moisturizer. The serum is very lightweight with a super subtle scent. It sinks in immediately.

You can also use this product on crow’s feet or any other place on the face where you’d like to diminish lines. After about a month of use, I can safely say that it is a remarkable product for plumping. I can’t wait to see how long I can extend the results of my lip fillers with this.
As an added bonus, here’s a short video I put together of my visit to Suzanne Bruce & Associates, along with how I use the SkinCeuticals HA Intensifier. If you’re curious as to what getting filler looks like, this is a very up-close look!
To my friends who get filler, how long did yours last before needing a touch-up?

Ok, I need this in my life to keep the wrinkles at bay! It’s so expensive to have it done so I’m all about finding great products to help with the upkeep. Thanks for sharing!
How much do fillers usually cost?
I get Restylane Kysse for my lips and it’s about $800 per syringe. I have little lips and use it all. Whatever you don’t use can be stored to touch up for future. My body for some reason don’t hold fillers like other people, so it really lasts almost 6 months.
What is your experience or knowledge about Dysart. Equal in effect with Botox as well as length of staying power. I know the cost is about half which makes me question it’s effects as expected with Botox. Thankyou
Hi! I’m new to the Botox and Filler world. I’m 44 and recently had lip filler done in March a half syringe and then a full syringe this month as well as Botox in my forehead, 11s and crows feet – so my question is how is the Skincueticals Hylauronic (I don’t think I even came close to spelling that right!)working out for helping the filler last any longer? I was considering purchasing this. Thanks! Johnns
