Finding an affordable cleansing balm has been a little bit of a challenge for me, but I am hugely impressed by this one! It reminds me a lot of the the Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm, but for only $10! I am a huge advocate for double cleansing, and I always always always use a cleansing balm before going in with my foaming cleanser.
This is truly one of my favorite cleansers I’ve ever found! It does an amazing job of removing dirt, excess oil, and makeup, but is not stripping to the skin at all. I find that it will work wonderfully for most skin types. I bought the large bottle of it in February and I’m still using it! I only need one pump to get my entire face clean.
I use hyaluronic acid serum both morning and night. It helps keep the skin hydrated without heavy oils or creams. I love the Ordinary as an affordable brand.
I use a vitamin C serum in the morning to help with hyperpigmentation and fine lines. Vitamin C is a wonderful antioxidant to incorporate into your anti-aging skincare routine. I found this Dr. Brenner serum and it’s a nearly identical dupe to the SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic. That serum is a cult favorite and a wonderful product, but it is very pricey!
I am a BIG believer in tretinoin/retinoids. I think that everyone needs to be using one in their anti-aging skincare routine. This is why I constantly recommend Curology! It is a custom formula where they will put in your tretinoin mixed with other active ingredients based on your needs. It is more affordable than getting a prescription from your dermatologist, but still incredibly high quality.
This is a very simple moisturizer but absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the extra dry fragrance-free version no matter what your skin type is. It is lightweight, hydrating, and can be used both day and night. It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles as other moisturizers do, but I prefer my moisturizer to be simple and hydrating.
I’m so impressed with this mineral sunscreen. It has a slight tint to it, but it will work for most skin tones. The tint is there mostly so you can avoid the white cast that lots of mineral sunscreens may give. While you can wear this with a little concealer on a light makeup day, I wear it most of the time under makeup just fine.
This is my favorite facial oil of all time! It’s lightweight but super hydrating. I even use it under the eyes in place of eye cream (as you may notice – there’s no eye cream in this post). Some facial oils can break me out (particularly rosehip seed oil), but this one does not. It absorbs nicely but works amazing to hydrate the skin.
This product is a work horse product that everyone needs in their collection! You can use it for so many things. This ointment is basically like Vaseline, but with a few added ingredients like ceramides and hyaluronic acid. This product is meant to be used to lock in other products and provide a bit of a barrier. I use this sparingly under the eyes on top of my oil, on the lips, and even on the hands and cuticles.
Such a simple product, but truly the only product I need for breakouts! I find benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid to be too irritating as I get older, but I am extremely happy how these pimple patches knock out a pimple nearly overnight! No other ingredients besides hydrocolloid, which helps suck out gunk.
