Fake a Blowout at Home

Leaving the salon with a fresh hairstyle and a gorgeous blowout is one of the finer things in life, am I right? It sure feels very hard to recreate at home. It seems like it would take a lot of time, money, and effort. My friends, I am here to tell you that this is not the case.

I’m all about creating salon-worthy looks at home for less. Anything that gives me amazing results with spending less time and money is a total winner. I have been using some amazing new products from Remington and have mastered how to fake a blowout at home! I have been loving loose, voluminous curls that are also sleek and frizz free. Pretty much hair perfection, in my book!

Products Used:

Remington Thermaluxe™ Hair Dryer. I first gave myself a blowout with this baby. I’ve been using it for a little while now, and I love that it dries my hair faster with less heat damage. It performs way better than my more expensive hair dryer. It produces high, even heat for a smooth, shiny finish. I also really love the tangle-free fabric cord.

You may have noticed in the video that my hair looked smooth and shiny just after using it! It takes me less than ten minutes to get my hair completely dry, and I love how sleek, shiny, and frizz-free my hair is. On days where I’m in even more of a hurry, I could stop here and be totally happy with the results. But, we’re faking an amazing blowout here, and we have one more step that only takes a few more minutes!

Remington Thermaluxe Setter. I have rediscovered my love for hot rollers. Guys, you should have seen the ones I used to have. I’ve had them since college, and they were in such bad shape. Ever since I picked these up, I’ve been hooked on them! They have a Thermaluxe patented dual heating system which heats the clips and rollers at the same time. No more messing with your clips separate from the rollers – it’s so convenient in one spot! These rollers heat the hair from the inside while the heated clip heats it from the outside, and your hair is completely set in five minutes (or under, in my case)! I absolutely love that these take so little time to curl your hair.

You get two sizes of rollers, and I used the bigger ones to achieve the more voluminous blowout curl. I divided my hair into bigger sections, as well. I only used seven rollers for my entire head! Three on the bottom half and four on the top half. These set in less than five minutes for my hair. I do have fine hair, and I would imagine if you have thick hair you would need to go the full five minutes.

After these come out, I finger comb my hair, spritz with a bit of hairspray, and I’m good to go! The best part about this hairstyle is that it lasts all day. That’s especially important for my busy lifestyle.
