I’m feeling a little more confident with myself and excited to share another recent outfit with you guys! Today we’re feeling all of the fall florals outfit inspiration.
I recently hosted an event with , which is one of my favorite stores ever. They aren’t sponsoring this post, by the way – they did gift clothes for the event, but I really love them so, so much. If you aren’t familiar with Evereve and you’re a mom – you will love it! It is focused around styling moms, and the store is completely kid-friendly.
I love visiting because I’ve gotten to know a few of the girls there and they will pull items that I would never think to pull for myself but end up loving! The perfect example: this outfit.
// Skirt // Cardigan // Booties // Sunglasses // Bag // Necklace
I have to say, this outfit is completely out of my comfort zone. Greg also told me I reminded him of a homeless person or a teacher in the seventies – HAHA! I guess we all aren’t used to seeing me dress like this. But, you know what? I am determined to try things outside of my comfort zone, even if it is a trend that may very well go out of style.
I never thought I would pair sock booties with this outfit, let alone wear sock booties. I tried on a similar pair in store with this outfit, but I found these Steve Madden dupes on Amazon and ended up buying them. I’m taking a risk, and I don’t care. What do I have to lose? This outfit also looks great with peep toe booties or strappy sandals, and I love how feminine it feels.
I thought about it some more and I think I am wanting to take more risks simply because I have started a new chapter in my life, and I don’t ever want to lose sight of me. I used to wear actual pants and outfits to work, and now I sit in my home office in my favorite Zella leggings. I need to celebrate myself a little more and not always get caught up in only being a blogger and a mom.
So, here’s to taking some risks and celebrating myself. If you’re a mom, you know how little we actually get time to do that. Promise me this week you’ll do one small thing for yourself.
Buy the trendy shoes you think you can’t pull off. Guess what – you can.
Spend an extra few dollars and get a Venti.
Let the dishes sit in the sink and watch another episode of your favorite trashy television show.
I like this risk I took with this outfit, and that’s all that matters.
You look beautiful, Meg! Love this entire look!
Thank you so much, Cara!
