Favorite Amazon Beauty Finds for Quarantine

It’s really hard to believe that we’ve been social distancing for over a month now. It feels like it’s been much longer than that. I’m starting to forget what life looks like in a normal world where we can leave our houses without a care.
During this time, keeping my mental health afloat has been very important to me. Times are not normal and we are expected to run a home, manage children (and a baby in my case), home school children (two in my case), work from home, cook, and thrive. It’s darn near impossible to do all of those things, let alone do them well. My husband and I are doing the best as we can by dividing and conquering, and making sure we give each other breaks.
My biggest self-care escapes are when I can pamper myself or get outside for some fresh air. I look forward to small things like doing my nails, massaging my face with a roller, or taking a long shower.
Beauty may seem a little “vain” right now, but taking care of myself from the outside always helps me in the inside. It’s so important to note that there are zero expectations for you to come out looking “better” than you did before this quarantine started. How you feel is paramount to how you look.
So, with that being said, I decided I would have a little fun working on myself and pamper myself a little more than usual. Since online shopping is the easiest, I’ve compiled a list of my favorite Amazon Beauty finds you can pick up for at-home self care. Most of these items are extremely affordable.
Favorite Amazon Beauty Finds for At-Home Self Care

Eyelash Serum

I’m not a big fan of eyelash extensions, but I know many of us are having to take a break from them. Now is the best time to grab a lash serum to help rehabilitate those lashes. I spent a long time trying lash serums, from both high end to affordable. My favorite high end serum is Neulash, but it’s very expensive and hard to justify for such a small tube. I found this lash serum on Amazon for a fraction of the price, with the same exact results. I was blown away, and have used it ever since. Give it at least a month to see results, but they are incredible!
Foot Peel Masks

Since nobody is seeing your feet, it’s the perfect time to do a foot peel mask! Have you ever tried the infamous Baby Foot mask? They are grossly satisfying how they make your feet shed like a reptile. I’m not a big fan of the price (typically $25 for 1) although they do give great results. I stumbled across these similar foot masks for a much cheaper price (5 for under $16!), and they gave me the same results as Baby Foot. Grab a pack and give it a go with whoever you’re quarantining with!
Rose Face Mask
A face mask is great any day of the week, but especially when you want to pamper your skin. A rose water face mask is a great way to increase hydration. This mask is great for sensitive skin, and is very soothing!
Anti-Thinning Shampoo

In November, my hair started falling out rapidly. Thanks, postpartum hormones. I know there’s not much you can do to stop the shed, so I figured I could do all I could to help speed up the regrowth (which does happen, thank goodness). I’ve been using this anti-thinning shampoo since January 1 (even though I do rotate in other hair products especially to test), and I feel like it does make a huge difference in the regrowth. In the past month, I’ve also been taking collagen, an oral dose of biotin, and eating more flaxseed in my oatmeal too. I’ve seen great results from the shampoo alone, but even better with all of the other things I’m doing.
LED Nail Lamp

I’ve been doing my own gel nails at home since last year, and I’m very glad I mastered it! Now is the perfect time to be your own nail tech. Grab an LED Nail Lamp and Gel Nail Kit, and you’re all set. Make sure to read my How to do Gel Nails at Home post for more tips and instructions
Gel Nail Kit

You can’t do your own gel nails without the gel nail kit! I’ve had great luck with this specific brand.
Beauty Roller Wand

I know I have two rollers on this list (and three facial massage tools, haha), but I love them all and use them all. This roller wand is a dupe for the Nurse Jamie roller, and it’s really great for toning the skin. I like to use this thing while watching TV and relaxing. (Note: it’s currently sold out but it was available a few days ago, so I’m sure it will come back soon!)
Rose Quartz Roller

I love to use my Rose Quartz roller to push in my facial products after applying my serums, moisturizer, and any oils I want to use. I don’t spend a ton of time using this roller, but it makes my skin feel amazing and I love the massage if I’m having a headache-y day.
Gua Sha Massage Tool

I’m fairly new to Gua Sha but it’s something that’s been intriguing me! It is a Chinese medicine technique for facial massage. It’s similar to other facial massage tools. but this Gua Sha tool is great to give an uplifting effect, and I particularly like to use this one on my jaw line and neck. Check out this video for a thorough explanation on how to do Gua Sha!
Marula Facial Oil
Marula oil is absolutely lovely and great for all skin types! You can use it as a last step in your skincare routine, on your hands and cuticles, or even in your hair. I use this brand of Marula oil, as many say this is a great dupe to the Drunk Elephant version. I personally have not used the Drunk Elephant Marula Oil, but I don’t know if I want to splurge after using the more affordable one.
Smoothing Hair Mask

This is the one item on this list that is on the pricy side. I have been a huge fan of Moroccanoil products – they are lovely and perform amazing. I have had this hair mask for months and you only need the tiniest bit. I really love it and would 100% repurchase. If you’ve tried a great affordable hair mask, please let me know so I can test it out!
Hydrating Tint

I absolutely love this skin tint for light makeup days. It doesn’t feel greasy, but never feels dry or cakey. I think it will work well for a lot of skin types! I’m on the oily side and it works great, but my friend who is dry says she loves it too. Perfect thing to have on hand if you need to feel put together for a video call!
What else would you add to this list of Amazon beauty essentials? Cheers to amazing skin, hair, and nails.
