Doing your makeup for family photos will be so much easier with these tips!

#1: Skin Prep: Make sure to properly cleanse, moisturize, and use SPF if you’ll be outside.

#2: Watch the Powder The more you use, the more that could possibly flash back when using flash photography.

#3: Choose the Right Foundation Foundations that have a “satin” finish usually are ones that look incredible on camera.

#4: Color Correcting Can Save the Day!

#5: Go Heavy Handed with the Blush Make sure you go a little more heavy handed than usual, because photos tend to wash you out.

#6: Be Careful with Eyeshadow Go a little more heavy handed than you would for everyday looks, but make sure not to go too heavy and dark with the shadows.

#7: Use Setting Spray A dewy mist is great for while you're doing your makeup and then a long wear at the end.

#8: Choose a Darker Lip Shade Do NOT choose a light nude lipstick, it will completely wash you out on camera.

#9: Use False Lashes They are a MUST for photography! Your natural lashes tend to disappear on camera, so a mascara is not enough.
