As a self-proclaimed skincare junkie, I try and test a lot of products at all price points. There are a lot of amazing products on the market, but you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a solid skincare routine. Today we’re chatting all about the best budget skincare products I’ve found!
This isn’t really a routine nor am I giving you step-by-step instructions, but I will be listing the products in order of application, and I will note whether I use them in the morning or the evening.

Here are more details on the products I mentioned in the video, and all of the links you’ll need!
The e.l.f. Holy Hydration Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm is the absolute best drugstore cleansing balm you will find! It reminds me a lot of or . If you like either of those, you need to try this one! I use this as a first step in my skincare to melt off all of my makeup, then I follow up with a traditional cleanser.
The CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser is great for a lot of different skin types. It gives you that nice lather but is not stripping to the skin whatsoever. I buy the big size and it lasts me at least six months!
The Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser is another option for those that are looking for an fragrance-free gentle foaming cleanser. It’s honestly incredible! It cleanses without stripping the skin and makes the skin feel amazing.
The is a new favorite of mine! I love a hyaluronic acid both day and night, right after my cleanser. This is a little more pricey than the other products on this list, but if you use my code MegO20, it’ll give you 20% off. That makes this product pretty darn affordable!
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid is another great option for hyaluronic acid! Super affordable and also includes some B5 for extra hydration.
This is another hyaluronic acid option that you can grab on Amazon! The Timeless Hyaluronic Acid Serum is a super great high quality product and also super affordable!
Need a good SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic? Look no further! The Dr. Brenner Vitamin C Serum is under $20 and nearly identical to SkinCeuticals. I use this in the morning underneath my moisturizer. Vitamin C is an amazing antioxidant!
Another one of my favorite Vitamin C serums is the ! It’s a little more expensive but works great. Don’t forget to use code MegO20 for 20% off – makes it even more affordable!
Have you ever tried a snail mucin essence? They’re so incredibly hydrating! You can use either day or night. I love the CosRX Snail Mucin Power Essence. It’s a Korean skincare product and very affordable!
Tretinoin is my gold star ingredient for anti-aging! I use Agency to get my my tretnioin prescription. They make a completely custom formula for you based on your skincare needs. Mine also has niacinimide, and tranexamic acid. They also offer a dark spot formula if you experience melasma or age spots. Highly recommend this as opposed to a traditional prescription.
If you use my link, you can get your first month for free (only pay $4.95 for shipping). Highly recommend trying it out!
The Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer is one of my top favorite drugstore moisturizers I’ve ever tried! It has ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and squalane. It’s also fragrance-free. So incredibly hydrating but never feels greasy or heavy under the skin. Wears beautifully under makeup! I use both day and night.
The e.l.f. Holy Hydration Face Cream is a total winner! Formulated with hyaluronic acid and peptides, this one glides on creamy and dreamy, but does not ever feel greasy or heavy. Absorbs into the skin and wears beautifully under makeup if you use in the AM. I use both AM and PM.
The Ordinary Plant-Derived Squalane is my absolute favorite facial oil. It’s lightweight, extremely hydrating, and absorbs fairly well (just make sure to not overdo it). I personally love to slather my face in it every evening as a last step, and then use one drop to prep the under eye area in the morning.
The CeraVe Healing Ointment is an absolute staple! If you do not have this – grab it now. You can use it for so many different things. Lips, hands, face, under eyes, on babies. The options are endless!
The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution is a surefire way to get glowing skin. This solution sits on the skin for about 10 minutes and leaves it super baby soft. I’m not much of a mask girl but I love to use this any time I have an event or pictures and need my skin to be extra “on point.” Works even better when you follow up with a moisturizing mask!
The Advanced Clincials Hyaluronic + Aloe Wake Up Facial Mist is lovely in mornings when skin feels tired and you need a little perk up! I like to use it after cleansing and before I apply serums.
The Beauty of Joseon Sunscreen is quite literally one of my favorite sunscreens I’ve ever used in my LIFE! It’s a Korean sunscreen that is formulated with newer UV filters that haven’t made their way over to the USA yet. As a result, it’s a more elegant feeling product. Zero eye sting. Zero chemical sunscreen smell. Zero breakouts. Zero greasy feeling.
The best way to get this sunscreen is through my favorite K-Beauty website. Note – it does take longer to ship. There are a few available on Amazon, but I’ve noticed that there are a lot of counterfeit and fake ones on there for this particular one.
The sunscreen is another amazing Asian sunscreen! This one is Japanese. It is more of a gel/water based formula that dries down perfectly. Oily skin types will LOVE this one! I’m normal skin and I find that it isn’t drying and wears super well.
This is also best when purchased through my . Note – it does take longer to ship.
The Australian Gold Tinted Mineral Sunscreen is an amazing mineral sunscreen that leaves zero whitecast! It has a slight tint to it to ensure that it blends out seamlessly. I wouldn’t use this in place of makeup, because it doesn’t really give coverage, but it does slightly even out skin tone. It has a silicone primer feel to it, so it wears well under makeup!
