Girls Wedding Primping
July 25, 2009 came so quickly! I had no idea nine months would go by so fast. I thought nine months was a pretty long engagement period, but boy was I wrong! It was a blast planning the wedding and it was finally time for the big day. And let me tell you, that big day went by in such a flash! I can’t believe how quickly the day was over.
My girls and I spent the night in the wonderful Presidential Suite the night before, and we were able to wake up, grab some breakfast, and then start getting ready. My hair and makeup girls showed up that morning and began working diligently on us, getting us all beautified. John also arrived and started taking pictures of us. We spent then entire morning and afternoon in the suite getting ready. This came as a surprise to most, but I was very calm and collected. I seem to usually do well under pressure, and this was no exception. I guess being in numerous theatrical and musical performances have helped me learn how to calm my nerves. Although this wasn’t just any old production – this was my wedding day! I was very excited!!!!
Below are a few pictures of the wedding prep in the suite that morning/afternoon. These pictures deserve an entire blog post!

Katie and Caitlin. They match the hotel room! Awesome.
Once we got to the church, I started to get a little nervous. I heard the choir practicing, and they sounded amazing. It really got me thinking, “Wow, I’m really here. I’m wearing a wedding dress and I am literally about to get married.” We were given our bouquets, took a few pictures in the front of the church and then spent the rest of the time waiting in the bridal room. Waiting was probably the hardest part.

I don’t even remember what we were laughing at here, but it sure does make a cute picture.

Next post: the boys’ getting ready. I don’t know if I can get Greg to put together that post, but if anything, I’ll have pictures.
