I scoured magazines, and runway looks from NYFW and found lots of fun beauty trends for this fall. I picked five that I thought would be the most wearable and that anyone could pull off. Yes, anyone! Don’t be scurred!
Metallic foiled eyes are a huge trend for this fall. This is my favorite fall beauty trend for this year because I love making my big anime eyeballs look metallic. I love to resemble a UFO as much as possible. I created this look using the Morphe 35F eyeshadow palette. Let me tell you, it is the most gorgeous fall/metallic eyeshadow palette in existence… and it’s so budget friendly! It doesn’t take a lot of skill to replicate this trend. You can even take one metallic shadow and wear it on the lids. A champagne color is universally flattering.
Vibrant Berry Lips
I know what you’re thinking – “I can’t pull that off.” And my answer is, YES YOU CAN, WOMAN (or man… that’s cool, too)! A vibrant berry lip is easier to wear than a super dark lip, first of all. If you need baby steps into wearing a bold lip, try a berry balm, stain, or lipgloss. I recommend the NYX Butter Gloss. They have an amazing color selection. For this look, I’m wearing a limited edition Wet ‘n Wild matte liquid lipstick, but my favorite liquid lipstick formula is the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick.
Move aside, winged liner – smoky is in. Thank the LAWD because the winged liner struggle is real. This is such a fun and easy look. Take a kohl/pencil eyeliner along the lower lash line and then smudge it out with a pencil brush. You can also take a dark gray/black eyeshadow and smoke it out. I’m using the Jordana 12-hr Made to Last Liquid Pencil Liner (found at Walgreens) for this look.
Red eyeshadow is a huge runway trend for fall. To make it a little more wearable, us regular folk can wear cranberry eyeshadow. This is an easy look to achieve, too! All you need is one eyeshadow blended out with a fluffy blending brush. If you’re feeling extra fancy, you can use a darker plum in the outer corner. I used the Lorac Mega Pro 2 palette (released last fall) for this look, but the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette is a perfect palette to use with lots of warm and berry shadows.
As much as I hate to admit it (because mama needs all the jawline help she can get), contouring is making its way out. Strobing is all the rage, and it’s an especially prominent trend for fall. This trend is all about emphasizing your gorgeous skin. So basically, you get to bathe in highlighter *insert unicorn emoji here*. Instead of contouring, I used a little bronzer to warm up the face. Then I’m using Champagne Pop for this look, and dusting it around the cheeks, forehead, nose, and cupid’s bow.
I promise you – you can wear any of these trends and pull it off like the beauty queen that you are!
