Each time the 4th of July rolls around, I am amazed that it’s already about halfway through summer. The temperatures are hotter than we remember, we’ve already got a little travel under out belts, and we are starting to get sick of each other at home. Haha. Okay, half kidding.
But in all seriousness, this year I am reflecting a little and bursting with happiness at this season of life we’re in. I am so thankful for my little family.
I’m also thankful for these adorable 4th of July family photos that Kate Carmichael Photography shot for us. It seems as though we take full family photos only once a year, and I’m glad we’ve changed that this year.
Kate is actually a former student of mine who found a love for photography through taking a class in college. (Side note: it makes me feel really old to think that some of my former students are in college, college graduates, married, or have children. That, and I was a super young high school teacher!) Kate has really found her craft through photography and it has been fun to watch her grow not only as a young lady but an artist.
Let’s get to the goods!

Thank you, Kate, for this adorable and amazing photos! If you’re in the Houston area, definitely hit her up!
You have such a gorgeous family! And your student is incredibly talented – what great pictures!
Thank you so much!! Happy 4th!!
Aww, I love them! Is that in old LC?
Thank youuuuu!! We took them in Kemah! Not at the boardwalk, but there’s this group of buildings right when you turn left to go to the boardwalk… I think it’s called Toucan Alley? It’s so cute and beachy looking and was the perfect spot!!
Beautiful pictures and family! Love the July 4th theme
