This is my second school year to teach part-time (after having taught 8 years full time). I have been loving this gig! I get to be a teacher, blogger, and mom without feeling like I’m pulled in too many directions. Although I am technically at work in the afternoons, I’m on my feet quite a lot throughout the day. It’s part of the job description of being a busy mom! A typical weekday of mine consists of MDO drop-off, blog work, possible meetings, teaching, running home to take care of the kids, make dinner, bath time, bedtime, and blog time again. My days are busy, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Although I am on my feet a lot, I do not want to sacrifice my sense of style. I enjoy getting dressed for work!
I get excited about putting on real person clothes, makeup, and shoes. It makes me feel balanced and fulfills that need to do adult things during the day before resorting to my leggings and baggy t-shirts at home with the kids.
It’s easy to throw on comfy flats for work, and I don’t usually wear my heels for fear of them making my feet hurt. I would love to wear them more often, but I typically can’t stand them for just an hour.
Luckily, there is a solution to this shoe predicament.
I recently ran to my local Target for the opportunity to try Amopé Gel Activ™ Insoles. They have different types of insoles – for everyday heels, extreme heels, flats, and open-toed shoes – all of which can be found on the foot care aisle. I chose the one for heels because I want to be able to “turn my heels into sneakers!”
The Amopé Gel Activ Insoles are like no other insoles on the market and enable women to multiply their shoe closet without having to buy new shoes. They are made with super concentrated gel and are 25% thinner than other insoles. I love how slim they are, and the sticky bottom allows them to stay put, even if they are moved to a different pair of shoes.
I decided to put my Amopé Gel Activ Insoles in my favorite transitional fall heels. I love the chunky heel, suede, and peep toe on these. I wear them out for date night and to events, but I have never worn them to school. It was time to see if they could withstand a few hours at work.
They are a perfect slim fit into my heels, and they stay put. I was surprised at how unobtrusive they are to the heels. Once I slipped them on my feet, I knew these could be worn to work. You just know.
I decided to pair these heels with a perfect fall transitional wear-to-work olive green dress. I’m all about comfort and breathable fabrics, especially since it’s still very warm down here in Texas. I love that this has a casual vibe but is still appropriate for school and is polished.
I have a feeling my work wardrobe has now increased dramatically! I can’t wait to make my other favorite heels work-wearable. Maybe I’ll even get some, “I like your outfit” compliments from my students. When that happens, I know I’m winning at life.
Run out to your local Target and grab you some Amopé Gel Activ Insoles! The best part is you can get a mail-in rebate and try these for free! See the images below for details. This expires 10/23/2016 so act quickly!
