Our 2018 Fall Family Photos

If you do things more than twice annually it becomes a tradition… right? Then I would have to say one of my favorite fall traditions is shooting our fall family photos with Ailee. She exceeds our expectations year after year and gives us these beautiful photos to cherish. She is worth every single penny!

This year was a bit of a challenge because I broke my foot not even two weeks prior to shooting these photos. Thankfully, I do not have a cast (wearing a boot instead). I slipped a shoe on that fit my swollen foot and hoped for the best. We got creative by hobbling me over to spots to stand and grab on to Greg for dear life. You’ll probably notice a lot of foot popping, leaning, and seated photos this year. Not very many candid shots but it’s hard to be candid while standing on one foot! Haha! I love that this year we really took a portraiture approach. I’m so glad we did not cancel our session and just went with it. And a huge thank you to Ailee for being patient and getting creative with us! Not to mention, we got lucky with amazing weather and cooperative children. Score!

I look forward to putting these photos up around my home and sharing them on our Christmas cards. I also look forward to sharing them here on my blog! I love looking back on past photo sessions and see how my sweet girls have grown over the years. You know what, before we get into this year’s photos, let’s take a trip down memory lane.
