CVS Back to School Haul
Just when we got one week of school under our belts, Harvey decided to hit the Houston area. Routines have been thrown out the window, as we’ve now been out of school for two weeks. Luckily we’ve been able to restore a bit of normalcy, and we’re trying as best as we can to help others in need around us. Things are settled down for our family over here, even though it’s going to be a long road to recovery for many other people. School starts again on Monday and I feel lucky and blessed that we are able to start back.
In an attempt to prepare again for what feels like another first day of school, I visited my local CVS to pick up some items to help us get more organized and healthy for the school year, and then I filmed a video of my back to school haul!

I like to use my CVS App on my phone to send coupons to my ExtraCare card – it’s so easy! Then when I’m in the store I use the app to scan the card (where all of the coupons have been sent) and to pay – all without having to pull my wallet out or mess with any paper coupons.
I made a fun video with a haul of all the back to school necessities I picked up on my last CVS run. Watch to see what I got!

As I mentioned in the video, I am doing a school supply drive for a local school who sustained an incredible amount of flood damage. I taught high school and junior high theatre for ten years, so education holds a huge place in my heart. This local school has a long road ahead of them, and I want to be able to help them in whatever way I can.
If you want to help me out by getting physical items in the hands of these affected teachers and students, please email me at [email protected]. I will then send you a list of items they need and an address to send them to. You can shop and then mail your donations to me and I will deliver everything. I will also be using the proceeds of this sponsorship with CVS to purchase more school supplies and to make a monetary donation. I can’t wait to hear from you!
Finally, thank you to CVS for letting me take this direction with my post, and also getting involved in Harvey relief efforts (they have donated $200,000!). I am a lifelong fan and customer!

I like that you thought of a first aid kit! I have one in my purse, my little is such a klutz and so am I. A bandaid is always needed hahaha. Cvs has such great deals!
