Couple’s Getaway to the Fairmont Austin
I think it goes without saying – time away as a couple without kids is a refreshing and renewing experience. While Greg and I feel like we do get enough breaks from the kids, we really don’t spend enough time uninterrupted away from them.
So when we were able to leave the girls with Memaw and Pepaw and head into downtown Austin for two nights of relaxation, you could imagine our excitement! We got two nights of doing a whole lot of nothing at the Fairmont Austin!

Fairmont Hotel Austin
If you’re headed to Austin, TX soon and want the perfect luxury downtown hotel, look no further. The Fairmont Austin is a brand new property and truly impressed us!
Gorgeous, modern and clean lobby. Beautiful artistic touches with a tiny bit of Texas flair.
We had a Deluxe Lakeview King guest room, and it was perfect for us. Nice and cozy, views of Ladybird Lake, and equipped with a Nespresso maker!
Fairmont Austin Pool
The rooftop pool on the 7th floor is super impressive, chic, and has stunning views of the Austin skyline. There is also a pool bar/restaurant called Rules & Regs up there, serving up fresh cocktails and yummy eats.
Seriously so picturesque!
Fairmont Austin Restaurants
There are a few restaurants on property and we were able to enjoy Garrison and Revue. Garrison is more formal setting (but still with casual foodie vibes – we are in Austin, after all… nothing is ever too formal). If you go to Garrison, you have to get the tater tots! Trust me.
Revue is situated right next to Garrison, which is such a cool and unique concept. They have 4 different food concepts – a raw bar, Italian kitchen, Asian kitchen, and dessert bar. You can order food from all concepts and enjoy literally whatever your heart desires! We had oysters, pasta carbonara, burrata, gyoza, an Asian salad… and lived our best lives!
And if you want the most Instagrammable and tasty dessert ever, you have to get the milkshake from the dessert bar!
If you’re looking for a little pick-me-up, give Good Things a visit. We had delicious afternoon beverages and espresso in the morning.
Fairmont Austin Spa
What’s a relaxing kids-free vacation without a visit to the spa? The spa at the Fairmont Austin is gorgeous, inviting, and refreshing. We had day passes to enjoy the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and amenities.
Overall
If you’re looking for a luxurious, modern, and relaxing place to get away from it all (without having to drive far if you’re in Texas!), you’ll want to visit the Fairmont Austin hotel. It’s just what we needed to connect and rejuvenate before baby number 3 arrives!
Let’s be real – any chance to visit Austin is always a fun one!
