One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is entertaining. I love bringing people together to begin with, and I love it even more around Christmas time. We all get so busy and struggle to make time to cultivate our friendships, so these kinds of events are very important to me.
Boardwalk Towne Lake in Cypress generously hosted the most fabulous lunch for a group of my blogger friends and truly spoiled us. I’m happy to see these ladies no matter what, and this event truly made us feel special.
I’ve never been out to Boardwalk Towne Lake before but was instantly charmed. It’s a property of delicious restaurants, retail, and recreation situated along a peaceful lake. It’s located right off of Barker-Cypress and is also accessible by boat. Those that live in the neighborhood nearby can boat to the property – how cool is that?

We started our lunch over at Flying Vine. They have a little private dining area that was perfect for our group of ladies. Everything about the place is so warm and inviting, and such a gorgeous room to host an intimate lunch with your favorite blogging girlfriends.
The table decor was provided by The Royal Standard and it truly was the statement piece of the room.
I loved all of the details of the decor, from the golden trees to the ornaments used as coasters. What a fun way to gift and also decorate!
Every guest took home a tote bag from The Royal Standard with their Instagram handles monogrammed onto them. They do monogramming in-store, which is such a special touch when you’re shopping.
Inside the monogrammed totes there were gifts from Beau Kisses Boutique, which is another retailer at Boardwalk Towne Lake. They carry a lot of impressive and well-loved brands like Tyler Candles, Quay, Kendra Scott, Z Supply, and more.
I was so happy to see my guests having such a great time, and I loved to be able to catch up and enjoy ourselves.
The food at Flying Vine Lakeside Grille was to die for! We indulged in sparkling rose, boozy coffees, scrumptious appetizers, and yummy lunch entrees.
They have a very impressive food and beverage menu, and it’s also very affordable for lunch. I ordered the Hippie Chick and it was delicious.
You know the food has to be good when everyone’s taking pictures of it! Haha!
I’m so thankful for the blogging community here in Houston. It is filled with lots of genuine, supportive and hard working women.
Ladies in attendance – make sure you follow them on Instagram and tell them I sent you!

After our lunch, we went shopping!
Our first stop was at Beau Kisses, where I was able to get all of my teacher gifts taken care of, thanks to their huge stock of Tyler Candles! It’s a lovely store with so many great brands in stock. Lots of super fun gift ideas in store, too.
Next, we visited The Royal Standard. Yes, it’s the same Royal Standard that’s at the Nutcracker Market every year. They have a few store locations across the country, and the only Texas location is right here at Boardwalk Towne Lake! Let me just tell you, the storefront is even more impressive than their massive booth at the Nutcracker Market.
If you need to get some last-minute holiday shopping done, definitely check out these two stores because they are full of gift ideas!
What a wonderful day! I can’t think of any better way to celebrate the holiday season with my blogging friends.
So glad you liked the Boardwalk. My friend, Ann, and I ate at the Flying Vine with husbands & friends recently. Then last Friday, we ate at Breakfast Brunch Cafe, also very good, we shopped at Beau Kisses, did a drive through of The Royal Standard & had our picture taken in front of the same. There are excellent shops & restaurants. The Boardwalk has become one of my favorite places to go with friends & family! I’ll be checking out your blog & following.
