Patriotic S’mores Popcorn

It’s officially summer and July 4 will be here before we know it! I am busy trying to keep my kids busy and entertained. That is one big challenge of summer, for sure. It gets so hot here, but staying cooped up inside can be a recipe for disaster.

We are big snack fans in our house. I’m pretty sure Kennedy asks for about 45 snacks per day. Sometimes it drives me up the wall and sometimes I’ll do anything to get a free second to myself. But since snacks are Kennedy’s love language, I’ll play into it from time to time.

Enter this Patriotic S’mores Popcorn. Since the 4th of July is coming up, it seemed like the perfect time to share a patriotic snack with my family and on the blog. This popcorn is perfect to put together with the kids and is a real treat for everyone in the house. My Easter S’mores Snack Mix inspired this popcorn. Of course we can’t forget that Horizon Organic is the muse, as well. The Snack Grahams are a staple in our house!

• Blue & red chocolate candies
• Mini marshmallows

Combine to your liking and gobble up!

Kennedy and I whipped some up during Caroline’s nap time. It was a great excuse to do something together, just us. She really loves helping out in the kitchen, and she got excited to make the popcorn with me.

If Kennedy is impressed, you know we have a winner. I think her face says it all!

Although we made this snack on a random weekday in summer, I think it will be the perfect treat to take to a 4th of July party or gathering. Everyone loves a good popcorn.
