When you become a parent, there are seemingly so many things you need for the baby. Swings, monitors, gadgets, strollers, car seats, oh my. It can be overwhelming!
Pinterest tells us we need all sorts of essentials. Mom groups are overflowing with suggestions. Walk down the baby aisle of your favorite store and the options are endless. Attend any baby shower and you’ll see the amazing amount of gear a new mom is gifted.
So many of us are blessed and privileged to meet the needs of our babies. We have all the gear for Logan that we’ll ever need and then some. I am grateful and thankful that we are able to meet his every need.

The harsh reality is that many families in America are not so lucky. Did you know that one in three families struggle to provide clean diapers for their babies? Of those parents in diaper need, three in five report missing work or school because they lack the diapers required to place their child in daycare.

These statistics shocked me and, quite frankly, broke my heart. Something as simple and basic as a clean diaper is not so simple for so many. Can you imagine wondering when you’ll have your next clean diaper for your baby? Can you imagine having to call in sick to work because you don’t have enough diapers to send with your baby to their caregiver?
The thought of it makes me sick. Luckily, there is an amazing opportunity to help through the end of this month. Since 2011, Huggies® has teamed up with the National Diaper Bank Network to donate and distribute more than 220 million diapers and support families struggling with diaper need.
How you can help families struggling with diaper need:
Helping a family in need is as simple as purchasing your favorite ! Here’s how you can help.
Purchase Huggies diapers at your local Walmart or to trigger a donation of two days’ worth of diapers to a family in need. You can even head to the store this weekend in honor of National Diaper Need Awareness Week (September 23-29).

This is such an easy way to get involved and support a huge need! One small purchase can contribute to making a huge difference. Surely us mamas need to make a diaper run this month. I’ll definitely be making a trip to Walmart to stock up on my favorite Huggies.
A big kudos to Huggies for this initiative. I have a lot of respect for big brands that give back! I hope you join me in support of this cause.
