I have to admit that I am not a crafty mom. I am not a Pinterest mom. I kind of stink at all that stuff, to be quite honest. I love things that are easy and entertain my kids. I’m about to spend an entire summer with them, and I am nervous about how I can keep these little ladies entertained.
Safe to say, I think we found a new fun activity that takes literally two minutes to do with a lot of fun playtime afterward. Did you guys know that you could make clouds from Ivory Original Bar Soap? You know, the stuff we grew up with! Its been around since 1879 and is 99.4% pure and clean. Just smelling it brings back memories!
Anyway, in order to make some fabulous soap clouds, you can take some regular, pure Ivory bars…
…and turn them into these fun clouds!
The best part is it only takes two minutes! Perfect for those non-Pinterest moms out there. We decided to put this experiment to the test, and we had a lot of fun. So, let’s make it.
Take your bar of Ivory Soap, put it in a microwave-safe dish, and pop it in the microwave for two minutes.
Stand and watch as the soap grows into big clouds! We all thought this was really cool to watch.
Well, would you look at that. We’ve got ourselves a big cloud!
Let the clouds cool a little bit and hand it over to the little ones to destroy to their hearts’ content. Just a note: this can get messy. Next time, we’re taking it outside.
Grab some ponies to play in the clouds/snow/whatever the kids want to call this fun white fluffy stuff.
Of course, there’s always Ivory for bath time (for mommy and kids). Along with the pure bar soap, the Ivory Aloe Body Wash is a favorite around these parts. It foams up nicely, yet keeps the skin hydrated. I also love using the bar soap to clean makeup brushes and to wash my face when I’ve got a lot of makeup to remove.
Go and give the Ivory soap clouds a try! I’m telling you – the kids will love it!
