I blinked, and you’re 4 and a half. You’re this big girl who exudes confidence. You’re a sunshine. You’re unmistakably smart. You and I bicker like a teenage girl and her mom, but we also love real hard.
You’re a gift to our family. You’ve got a unique birthmark, but you don’t see yourself any different from anyone else. You describe yourself as the “fastest, smart, and the leader.”
I look at these pictures I took of you, and my heart swells to think what a sweet, big girl I have in you. You can speak in Spanish, do math, help your sister, and run really fast!
I can’t believe you’re about to start your last year of preschool. I have to admit, it’s sometimes hard to see you so big and not need me anymore. But truly, the greatest gift as your mommy is to see you grow.
Can you believe you were a tiny baby once? You were smaller than your sister, Caroline! And now, you’re going into your last year of preschool. That means you’ll be the biggest kid at school!
During this last year of preschool…
I promise to always be there for you.
I’ll make sure that you get the snacks you like. (As long as it’s not 5 snacks in a row.)
You’ll have so much fun with your friends.
I promise to help you when you need it.
If you get hurt, I promise to help you make the boo boos feel better.
You will learn so many things you didn’t know before. Maybe you will be able to count to 100!
I promise give you everything you need to make this year the best year ever.
You’re going to have a great year. I know it! I’m so proud of you, Kennedy. I love you.
To help Kennedy be the fastest, Stride Rite hooked her up with these brand new Leepz shoes. She loves how they light up, and they are perfect for school!
These shoes were built for playground superstars, and available here!
